Born for This
What This Retrograde Might Be Stirring in You (and What to Do With It)
Hello love,
On with the Mercury Retrograde Exploration.
If things have felt heavier, more intense, more in-your-face lately, you’re not imagining it.
Mercury is now in full retrograde motion, and if you’re feeling like life is stacking contrast on top of clarity, like you’re bouncing between “this could really work” and “what the actual hell is happening”, then welcome.
You’re not alone in this energy.
I’m in it with you.
This week brought up some very real things for me — around work dynamics, income streams that just might not be for me, housing insecurity, and what safety in my body actually feels like.
I’m not going to lay it all out right now.
Some of it’s still moving.
But what I can say is this:
This phase of Mercury Retrograde has a way of pulling us into the parts we thought were “handled,” just to show us what’s still asking for care.
Old patterns.
Core wounds.
Disruptions to safety and control.
They all come forward.
Not to disrupt our lives, but to help us meet ourselves in a deeper, more honest way.
And honestly?
This week hasn’t been graceful.
But it has been clarifying.
Clarity doesn’t always feel like an angel chorus or a confident next step.
Sometimes it feels like the floor giving way just enough for the truth to rise through the cracks.
But when it does rise, even through the mess, it’s impossible to unsee.
There may not be solutions yet.
But the deeper alignment is forming.
The kind that says:
This part of your life is not a mistake.
This moment is not a backslide.
This is what happens right before you remember who you are again.
That remembering might take time.
It might not come in a meditation or a perfectly timed journal prompt.
It might arrive while you’re vacuuming, or sweating, or lighting a candle in silence.
But it will come.
Because you’re showing up.
And showing up is everything.
Mercury Retrograde Journal Prompts
Retrograde Motion Phase
I was born during a Mercury Retrograde, so this part of the cycle has always felt like home to me.
Even if the world appears to slide off kilter for a bit, I always find myself craving hermit mode — the deep, quiet space where everything slows down enough for real clarity to rise.
For me, the perfect companion is a well-worn journal and a set of prompts that help me reconnect with what’s real, underneath the noise.
So go get your favorite journal and engage in the hermit’s inward pull.
Let these meet you where you actually are, not where you “should” be by now.
What fear resurfaced this week that I thought I was done with?
What part of me still associates safety with silence or overfunctioning?
What physical practices help me feel grounded when my mind is spinning?
What would it mean to trust this pause instead of pushing through it?
What is clarity asking me to surrender — not solve?
So if you’re still in the thick of it, then you’re right on time with the rhythm.
Mercury Retrograde doesn’t ask you to figure it all out.
It asks you to stay with yourself while it all gets rearranged.
Keep tending your nervous system.
Keep noticing what’s true.
Let the clarity come in pieces if it needs to.
You don’t need to rise fast.
You just need to stay close.
With love + infinite ease,
P.S. Something new is coming
This retrograde is stirring something big for me behind the scenes.
A soul-led business gathering before the end of the year. Something grounding, clear, and aligned with who we’re all becoming.
I’ll share more soon.
And yes, I’m still using Leonie Dawson’s planner to start mapping it all. I’ve been using it for over 10 years to plan my business in a way that actually honors me.

P.P.S.
If you’re craving sacred stillness and connection as the year winds down…
I’ll be co-hosting Night of Light 2025 on December 21st at 4:00 PM Central, alongside a beautiful circle of women — Dawna Kreis, Astra, Lavender Loveway, Tanya Levy — and featuring live music from the incredible David Levine.
It’s a free online Winter Solstice gathering — designed to honor the turning of the season, the dark, the light, and the space in between.
If you know you’ll want to be there, you can go ahead and sign up now:
More to come in the coming weeks. But for now, mark your calendar and exhale.

Thank you for the reminder, my beautiful friend! 🙏🫂💖 This has shown me that I AM right on time, in sync, in the flow. 🥰
